Welcome to the World of Children’s Yoga!
By exposing young children to the basic philosophies and beliefs of yoga, combined with the asanas (poses), you are providing your child with a basic practice that will help them in years to come. Research has shown that meditation, mindfulness, and breathing exercises reduce stress and anxiety for kids and teens, and the physical rewards of exercise are an extra-added bonus!
In my children’s yoga classes, geared toward 4-8 year olds, I provide a fun, fast-paced 45-minute class with a weekly, age-appropriate theme. As we combine yoga with concepts that a young child can understand, we can build a weekly practice while at the same time planting the seed of being a kind, loving person.
Your child will thrive in a non-competitive, accepting environment where there are no winners or losers, the “perfect pose” is not a priority, and most of all, will have a lot of fun!
